El Nino :- what is it ? Everything you should know ?

Hello everyone I am Goutam from "geography world" today I discuss "El Nino", about some important knowledge you didn't listen before.

 

Actually the "El Nino" is one kind of whether change, which basically found on eastern tropical zone of Pacific ocean. Normally the temperature of this area is 20°C but unexpectedly on Christmas time the temperature of this area become very high and this kind of unnatural changed is called "El Nino".

      The 'El Nino' is a Spanish word, it mean that 'Christ Child' or in english 'the little boy'. It comes regularly after 2-7 years but exist 7- 24 months. Normally on the eastern tropical zone of Pacific ocean and the western side of Ecuadorian a warm tidal-wave passing on December, January time which is called 'El Nino' by the Spanish sailors.

 ∆ Origin of 'El Nino' :-

•     The 'El Nino' is actually appear on Pacific ocean and it's air is under control by walker circulation, Hadley cell, south-east trade wind. Normally the air of eastern pacific ocean is under high pressure and there present dry atmosphere but in west side air is under low pressure and there present monsoon. Then the walker circulation and Hadley cell are exist active and normally. That's why the south-east trade wind blowing east to west, which force the cold sea water to western warm place, it's name is south equator currents. Then to fill up the lack of water the cold water upwelling and from the western side of Peru the Humboldt currents goes to south to north. In this currents there are so many plankton produce for that in this area there live many species of fish. Sometimes in this time the 'El Nino' is appeared then western warm reach the coast of Peru

• . For that in the middle and east side there subsist low pressure and west side there present high pressure. Then the walker circulation being tired but the southern oscillation is now active,which is called El Nino Southern Oscillation or in short ENSO. In this situation the eastern wind goes above, then there started strong rain and soggy whether and western side of ocean there wind under high pressure the air comes lower and change to dry whether. For this reason the nearest country of west pacific ocean like Indonesia, Australia there the percentage of rain become very low and in India there also exist drought

• .In the north side of Peru the Humboldt currents blocks then there produce no plankton. The soggy whether present Atacama and also the hole Peru. When this whether actually exist for 2-7 months then it's called 'El Nino'.

 ∆ Recent El Nino Years :-

     According to statistics the space of two El Nino is 2-7 years but it has no regular time. The recent years are 1986-87, 1991-92, 1994, 1997-98, 2002-03, 2004-05, 2006-7, 2009-10.
