🐍The Brazilian language "Ilha da Queimada grande" is known to us 'Snake Island.' The island situated on 99 miles away from downtown of Sao Paulo ,a coast of Brazil and in Atlantic ocean and it is spread out total 110-acre area. The island is untouched by human developers. The island also looks like a snake.

The snake island is one of the deadliest island of the world. The island small in size but here exist many different types of terrain. The island is only home of critically endangered and it also the home of golden lancehead, one of the deadliest viper in this world. It's venom can melting the human flesh. The island is inhabited by thousands golden lancehead vipers. Here,in this island more than 430,000 snakes are arrived. If we measure then almost every 6 square yards we can see a snake.


  In monsoon time when the sea level covered the island the snakes are become trapped in this island. This island is totally closed to public visitation by the Govt. But any of research for biodiversity conversation the Govt. should give the permit. The Brazilian Navy also entered in this island.

  The total area is a part of rainforest.ᬇ There exist some elevation,the range of elevation from the sea level 206 metres. The climate is temperate. The average temperature 18.38°C in August to March 27.28°C,the range of rainfall 0.2 millimetre in July to 135.2 millimetre in December.




  In this island there found so many different kind of vegetation and so many snakes. But current time the volume golden lancehead is low almost 2,000-4,000. The total area is covered by some bare rocks and grass but when some plantation programs are arranged the people clear total rainforest area,for this reason the island now turned into deforestation. For this deforestation the term 'Queimada' is originated in Portuguese. In the island the most endangered animals of Brazil are subsist. The island is also home to a smaller population of a non-venomous snake species.
